hello new to the forum i have picked up a 1972 wombat model 94 i am in the process of rebuilding the engine can someone tell me what what piston rod play should be from the piston rod to the crank and how to measure that?
that is the only thing i have not done is separate the flywheel and if i do is it hard to get them trued back up?
is there any thing else to look for?
thank you Kevin

For the 94 wombat the side to side clearance is listed at .002 -.004 measured with a feeler gauge between the rod and the washer or between the washer and the crank. Trueing the crank is done with a dial indicator and a pair of v blocks with a runout measurement of .0005. It takes patience but you can do it with all the right tools .
